CAASTRO Advisory Board member Prof Tanya Monro has been awarded two ARC Grants: 'Smart Bungs for Wine Monitoring' and 'Nanodiamond in glass'. Congratulations Tanya!

 

Congratulations also to the following CAASTRO researchers whose proposals for Linkage Infrastructure, Equipment and Facilites were successful:

  • Prof Anne Green (University of Sydney) “The Nanten2 sub-millimetre telescope” ($750k)
  • A/Prof Scott Croom (University of Sydney), Prof Matthew Colless (AAO) “GNOSIS-J: completing the revolutionary OH suppression spectrograph” ($300k)
  • Prof Jeremy Mould (Swinburne University of Technology) “Detailed spectrophotometric/velocity mapping of galaxies and identifying transient Gamma-Ray Burst Sources (GRBs) and the first stars with the unique upgraded Wide Field Spectrograph (WiFeS) facility.” ($185k)
